| My interest with showing and breeding dogs started back in 1974 with Irish Setters and a English Setter. We also owned a Exhibition Greyhound from Victoria . As well as showing my own dogs I used to handle a lot of dogs in those days for other people!! I dabbled in Obedience and for several years and was a Obedience Trainer.. My love of German Shorthaired Pointers started back in 1987, when I helped Diana Norman ( Edelhof Kennels) show her dogs.. Thank you to Diana for your help and passing on your wealth of knowledge on the breed over the years. Our first GSP was a Black/White girl who we got from Diana in 1989.. From then we obtained a male from Trupoint Kennels in 1991. Next came our "Mac" Seltsam Strictyballroom, who became my sons best training partner for many years. "Mac" our wonder dog excelled at Gig Racing here in Qld and also excelled at Lure Coursing. Our next bitch was "Tyme" Seltsam Time After Time who was our foundation bitch for Kruz German Shorthaired Pointers..... Next to arrive was our beloved "Cruise" BISS & RISS Ch.Zigeuner Nimrod R who has gone on to being behind many fine GSP's here in Australia and throughout the world. Himself a Sire of 11 Show Champions and 3 Grand Champions (with another well on her way) Thank you Nan Janssen for our handsome man!! Our 1st litter of German Shorthaired Pointers under the KRUZ prefix wa born in 1996. From that litter we kept RISS Ch.Kruz Klaim to Fame . We have only ever kept 3 to 4 dogs at our premises at any one time so we are happy with the success we have had over the years. In early 2001 with my good friend Joanne Windle (Chicabud Kennels) went into a partnership with BISS Grand ChKrikka Hot Gossip & his sister Grand Ch Krikka A Hint of Scandal. Both "Cal" & "Rumer" reside with Jo. Both are from our "Cruise" & the lovely BIS & BISS Grand Ch.Krikka Lady Luck owned & bred by Linda & Keith Evans (Krikka kennels in Victoria) Thank you to all those special people who have helped me over the years. To Amiee Thompson (Kadma Weis) who at 13 went on to win "BEST IN GROUP" at the prestigeous Brisbane Royal in 1997 with Cruise (total entries 5,000 dogs) a special thankyou !!! Joe-Anne |
